I was just reading complaints by typical prog-snobs on a certain progressive rock forum, which I will not name. They were making the argument that listening to a 45-second song sample is not long enough for progressive rock.This is total garbage, and really gets the steam coming out of my ears!!
I wonder if any of them has ever gone to see a 2-hour movie on the basis of a 30-second TV spot, or seen a movie based on a 3-minute trailer (the equivalent of a mere 4 song samples of an entire album)?
I'm just sick of hearing baseless arguments that artists should give away their work for free (and be happy to do it).
